01.

Welcome to GenMapper tutorial video for GenMapper

In this video I will give you a brief introduction on how we can download, install, sign in and download form in GenMapper app

This is genmapper.com, there you will see on the first page many download buttons for many platforms. From this choose the platform you want to use app and click the Icon and it will automatically download your installation file

After the download is complete click the installation file and follow the procedure which will install app in your device

 After the app is installed you can go to desktop and open the app

 If you are using the app for the first time then you will see user agreement message which you have to agree by clicking “I Agree” to use app further

 Once you agree the user agreement you will require to sign in and you can use your username and password to sign in in the app

When you are signed in you will see a message saying NO FORM so to get the form you an either click Get Form or from the toggle menu click the download form and you can download GenMapper World form from there

Once the form is downloaded you can click ok and go back and you will see your form

Welcome to genmapper tutorial video for genmapper

In this video I will go through the process of filling of the form

Open the form you downloaded in the previous video

If there is a pop up then you can close that by clicking cross sign

You will see a message NO RECORD found in your screen

To add a new record we can click The yellow add button in the right side which will load a form with series of different types of questions

After the questions you can see red star which means those questions need to be answered

You can also use the form in different languages by clicking the toggle button where you will see different options for languages

But for this video we will use English as a default language

Lets fill one form together

In the first part you will answer when was the group started by choosing a month and a year

Then you will point the location of group in the map by opening the map

You can press and hold on the black ribbon for while and the search bar comes up where you can type a place name and choose from the option provided and select it

Or you can even pan around the map and find your location

Or you can simply use GPS of your device to pin the point in your current location

Once you have pin the location go and select country from the dropdown menu and write the village name where this group is located

After this you will answer other questions related to group health like is there a leader? What is leaders name? Is he from outside or inside? Is there teachings happening? And is there baptism practiced? And so on.

Also you will answer where the data for the form was collected from?

After these questions you will answer about the people group who comes to this group

For this choose a majority people group from the drop down and write their numbers

If you have more than 1 People Group then add another by clicking a grey triangle below

This will give you same questions for different people groups

Also you can add more by simply clicking add button and delete by clicking a trash button

After this you can choose a date of submission of form

And add pictures or files of this group

Or you can also add some comment if you have any for this group

Now the form is ready to submit

For submission click the tick mark button which gives you three options send later, send now and continue

You can choose send later if you don’t have internet access or you can select continue if you feel like something is missing in the form or else you can say send now and then the form will be submitted and you will see your information as a circle with different icons representing your answers

Welcome to genmapper tutorial video for genmapper

In this video we will see how we can add a generation under the group in order to make it looks like this.

Also we will see how we can edit the data

Lets get back to our group that we made in our last video

Here it is just one at a moment so to add a group as a second generation under this group we can select it by clicking it

Once it is blue you will see three different options

From that options choose add option which will load same series of question that we filled last time

Fill the form with the answers like we did in the previous video with the information’s like locations, group health, People groups and notes and submit it and you will see a new group formed under it like this

With this you can add as many generations as you like under the groups you want

Now we will see how we can edit the data

To edit the data the procedure is same

You need to select the one you want to edit then in the options below choose edit and you will see the form you filled to make that group

From the preview you can change any of the answers and update any information you like

And to save the changes click submit button and say send now

And you will see the change right away

Welcome to Genmapper tutorial video for genmaper

In this video we will see how we can switch the groups within the generation and within  two generations or more

You can see a generation with six leader expanding to several generations

So lets assume that the leader 31 from this group is supposed to be under leader 3

What we can do to make it happen is we select the one we want to move then press and hold which will gray out the canvas and simply drag it to leader 3 and release

Make sure you don’t take you hands off the mouse or screen until you release

You can do this as many times as you want

To make the changes permanent you need to click the cross icon on the top left corner and click send now which will make an edit permanent

This way you can change the generation of groups within one stream

 Now let’s assume that the changes actually needs to happen between two different stream for this example say leader 21 now needs to come under the leader 3 in Florence

To do this select the group where you want leader 21 to come which is leader 3 in this example select it and you will see a grey button on your left side of the screen

Open it and you will see a list of groups in this generation

Click the toggle button which will switch to the list of groups that is not in this generation from there select a group named leader 21

And press a make child button on your screen below

This will bring that group under the selected group in this generation

Also to make this change permanent click the cross icon on the top left corner and click send now

This way you can switch groups within two generations or more

Welcome to Genmapper tutorial video for genmapper

In this video we will see all other features in genmapper

First open the app

When you click the form you see no record found

Now if you have already entered some records then you can press refresh which will bring all your data from the server

Also you can view you data in a map by clicking map button below where you will see different black dots as you groups in a map those are the locations you provided while filling up the form

You can also use search option to search your stream or switch to all data and search for your individual data which makes your job easy if you have thousands of data

You can arrange the data or stream by time or by alphabetical order as well by clicking the time button and a to z button on your top right corner

Now we will see how you can remove your gen map or say it is no longer meeting

Go to one of the generations and choose the one you want to remove. Whenever you click it you will see three options, from that choose a remove option and from the choices choose remove from gen map to make this permanent click the cross icon and say send now

This will remove your group and make a separate single group outside or you can even mark your group as a no longer meeting group

For this choose no longer meeting and then choose a date from when this group stopped meeting

This will turn your group to a grey color which means its no longer meeting

 

You can also share your gen map by clicking the share icon on you top right corner which will generate a picture of your gen map and you can share it from email or if you are using GenMapper in your phone you can share it in your Messenger, Whatsapp or any other source of medias
