As you and your team begin adding other Great Commission Christians to GAPP, there are two considerations to keep in mind: User Roles and GAPP Teaming Structure.
For User Roles, please see the Team Member Roles article to understand which Roles you should assign to each member.
For GAPP Teaming Structure, you and your team can consider who you are adding or inviting to GAPP and what level of partnership you have with him or her.
What level of partnership or relationship do you have with this individual?
To discern which team to invite a new co-laborer to, first determine which of the following best describes your relationship:
To summarize:
A. If the individual is a member of your organization, invite them to your team and set the correct role for them.
OR
B. If the individual is not a member of your organization, but regularly does activities with your team and functions as a part of your larger team, then create a child team of your organizational team and invite them to that team and set the correct role for them or add them as a detached member if they do not have internet access.
OTHERWISE
C. The individual should not be invited to your team but should work in their own GAPP Workspace.
Decision Detail
Determine if the individual a full or partial member in your team’s strategy.
If the answer is “No” then you should encourage the individual to create their own workspace and use GAPP without any connection to your team.
If the answer is “Yes,” then also determine if the individual is a member of your organization.
If the answer is “Yes," then invite the individual using their organizational email address and set the correct role for them.
If the answer is “No,” then determine if the individual regularly does activities with your team and functions as a part of your larger team.
If the answer is “No,” then the individual should create a workspace or be invited to their organization’s workspace and then create an /wiki/spaces/GAPPSRVC/pages/870711323 with your Workspace or Team.
If the answer is "Yes,” then determine if the individual has internet and device access to use GAPP.
If the answer is “No,” create a detached member for the individual and enter activities on their behalf.
If the answer is “Yes,” then create a child team of your organizational team and invite them to that team and set the correct role for them.
Creating a child team for each type “B” individual allows them the independence to enter in their own activities while protecting the security of their data from other partners. Yet each child team is also nested under your team, thereby allowing you to view all their activities.
Special Case - Volunteer Teams
The Lord continues to call and send out Short-Term volunteer teams to play their role in reaching all peoples and places. To that end, GAPP provides the ability to add these teams so that they can record all that God has done during their short time of service yet protect the security of your team’s data.
Typically, members of a volunteer team should be invited according to summary “B” above in the summary section.
However, the volunteer team may have limitations that require them to be added as detached members, or they may even be part of their church’s own Workspace and require creating an /wiki/spaces/GAPPSRVC/pages/870711323.
