For security reasons, there may be a time when an Administrator needs to freeze a particular member. When an Administrator freezes a member, the member is blocked from logging into GAPP, adding activities in GAPP, and accessing data in GAPP until an Administrator unfreezes the member.
Due to the impact this has, the freeze member process should only be used in security risk events.
Only Administrators can freeze a member. It is therefore best to have two or more Workspace Administrators and Team Administrators for each workspace and team.
Only Workspace Administrators can unfreeze a member.
To freeze a member, a Workspace Admin or Team Admin can:
Choose Workspace or Team then Members from the side navigation.
Select the edit pencil icon next to the member you want to freeze.
Select the three dots at the top next to the name of the member.
Select “Freeze”.
Add the reason you need to freeze this member. Only the Administrator will see the reason.
Confirm by selecting Freeze.
The member will be frozen and unable to login to GAPP. If the member is already logged into GAPP when an Administrator freezes them, they will not be able to access any data nor add any activities until an Administrator unfreezes the member.
To unfreeze a member, a Workspace Administrator can:
Follow steps 1-5 above.
Confirm by selecting Unfreeze.
The member is now unfrozen and can login to GAPP, add activities, and access data.
