For each Workspace you are a member of, you can set the details of how other members of your teams identify you, your own people group details, and Activity shortcuts.

Picture, Initials, and Name

It is important for your teammates to be able to identify you as you use GAPP together to engage in the Great Commission. Your Picture, Initials, and Display Name will help others more easily add you to teams or add you as a contributor on an activity.

About Me

https://youtu.be/DgfY-3bL4UQ

GAPP is designed to help you as you engage in the Great Commission with the people groups around you. But you also have a people group identity.

All users of GAPP are asked to enter their own people group information (their country of citizenship or origin, their self-identified people group name, their primary language, and their other spoken languages). This information will be used to deliver back to GAPP users various scales of engagement showing whether that engagement of various people groups around the world is happening from same culture, near culture, or cross-cultural efforts.

  1. Select your country of origin

  2. Select your primary spoken (or signed) language

  3. Select the people group you are a member of

  4. Select all other languages you speak or sign

  5. If you are finished making changes, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “Save”

Activity Shortcut Configuration

https://youtu.be/ErW7aUr9vdU

GAPP allows you to enter Activities that impact any people group. Typically, there will be certain people groups, languages, and religions that you normally interact with. The Activity Shortcuts allow you to set these as your shortcuts and defaults.

  1. Select the People Group Shortcuts search box.

  2. By default, this brings up the people groups that GAPP knows are near your location as indicated by the green location tag, but if the people group you are looking for is still not in the list, you can select the search box and type the name of each people group you are looking for and the location tag turns red to show it is not using your location.

  3. To select a default people group, select the name of one of your shortcuts.

  4. Select the Language Shortcuts search box.

  5. By default, this brings up the languages that GAPP knows are near your location as indicated by the green location tag, but if the language you are looking for is still not in the list, you can select the search box and type the name of each language you are looking for and the location tag turns red to show it is not using your location.

  6. To select a default language, select the name of one of your shortcuts.

  7. Select the Religion Shortcuts search box.

  8. By default, this brings up the religions that GAPP knows are near your location as indicated by the green location tag, but if the religion you are looking for is still not in the list, you can select the search box and type the name of each religion you are looking for and the location tag turns red to show it is not using your location.

  9. To select a default religion, select the name of one of your shortcuts.

  10. If you are finished making changes, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “Save.”
