Before you migrate into GAPP, ensure you are a member of the workspace and team to which you want to migrate the data.

  1. On a web browser on a laptop or desktop (phone web browsers are not supported), go to admin.genmapper.com.

  2. Login to your Genmapper account.

  3. From the user profile page, choose “Migrate to GAPP” in the options menu.

  4. Select the workspace where you want to migrate your data. WARNING: Once you migrate a stream, you cannot migrate again. It is important to choose the correct workspace!

  5. Select the team or church where you want to migrate your data.

  6. Select the template.

  7. Select which stream to migrate.

  8. Click migrate. WARNING: Remember once you migrate a stream, you cannot migrate again. It is important to choose the correct workspace!

  9. This process may take a few moments up to several minutes, so please be patient and do not refresh or navigate away from the page.

  10. Once the migration is complete, you should see a notification in the top right corner that says the migration was successful.

  1. Login to GAPP with the same account as genmapper.com.

  2. Select the workspace where you migrated your data.

  3. Select the team or church where you migrated your data.

  4. View the churches menu on that team dashboard. Your migrated genmap will appear here.

  5. Due to the differences in the genmapper.com form and the church template in GAPP, there are details which are required in GAPP that are not part of the details on genmapper.com which will need to manually be added as you interact with your data:

    1. leader’s gender

    2. how often meeting

    3. actively making disciples

    4. practices accountability

    5. languages used when meeting (this will default to unknown)

NOTE: Your username must be the owner of the data to migrate. If you are not the owner but can see certain data in admin.genmapper.com, you must contact the owner of that data and request they migrate their data into GAPP before it will be visible in GAPP.
